Coco Unit B is a comfortable, well-appointed studio that feels like a true Kauai home the moment you walk in. Warm tile floors, island-inspired furnishings, and genuine 1940s plantation character give it an authenticity that resort hotels simply can't replicate — and the thoughtful modern updates mean you won't be missing anything.
The layout works well for two: a cozy living area with a Smart TV, a fully equipped kitchenette, a private bathroom with good fixtures, and a sleeping area with a comfortable bed and quality linens. Air conditioning throughout means you're always comfortable, though with Kauai's reliable trade winds and the lush grounds surrounding the cottage, you may find open windows are all you need. Large windows bring in natural light and give the space an open, airy quality that makes it feel more expansive than the square footage suggests.
Step outside and the entire Fern Grotto Inn property is yours to enjoy. Launch a kayak directly onto the Wailua River, grab bikes for the 10-mile coastal Kauai Path, or stroll one block to Wailua Beach for a morning swim. Snorkeling gear, paddleboards, beach chairs, and beach towels are all complimentary.
